Great to see such an important part of hydro power generation history so well preserved for future generations to look at.

amazing place - miles from anywhere! Power Station was decommissioned in 1994 and place is now being kept as a museum telling the story of Hydro Power in Tasmania - brilliant! Free entry and friendly staff on hand to answer questions....

Very informative, took mainland visitors for a look who couldn't believe that it was all free. Tour guide was great and knew a lot about the power stations history as his father had worked there. He grew up in the village and spent a lot of time in the power station with his Dad.

Visited there on 18/4/2017, and enjoyed the museum a great deal. A very remote spot in Tasmania, and tourists & infrequent visitors would probably need a GPS. I admire the former Hydro workers for coping with their isolation a century ago, and would highly recommend travelers think of adding this museum to their itinerary.
